AUGUST 17, 2024, brought us back to Whiteland Raceway Park for round 8 of the Indy Karting Challenge with a total of 10 of our drivers competing.
Diesel Maxwell made his debut in Micro Swift and 206 Cadet-Red Slide after moving up from Kid Karts! Diesel has worked hard and put in many practices to prepare for this day! In Micro the 1st time out he qualified in 2nd, finished Heat 1 in 4th, and was P5 in the final! For 206 Cadet, he qualified 6th, in Heat 1 he was 5th and in the final he finished 7th! We couldn't be any prouder of him in his results and can't wait to see how the rest of his season goes!
Elam Stoner competes in the 206 Sportsman-Green Slide Class, and he was on Fire out of the gate! Elam went out and drove that kart straight to the POLE for Qualifying! He would eventually place 5th in Heat 1 and 6th for the Final.
Thomas Anthony was another driver that was hitting the track fast and hard! Thomas would take his Coyote 206 Jr kart and qualify 2nd! After some minor setbacks during the heat and ultimately finishing 13th. He was determined to gain back positions during the final and that is just what Thomas did by gaining 11 positions and finishing on the Podium in 2nd! Way to go Thomas!
Andrew Avalos competes regularly with us at WRP in the Mini Swift Class. He is another one of our drivers that came ready to race this weekend! Andrew put his Top Kart cadet in 2nd by the end of qualifying. In the heat race he finished 4th and the final Andrew placed 5th.
In 206 Senior Medium Brayden Johnson was able to climb up on that podium as well with a 3rd place finish! Brayden does double duty each race in 206 Senior Light and Medium! Congratulations Brayden!
Each and every one of our drivers goes out on that track and gives it their all! Some races are better than others, but that never stops them no matter the finish! We are always super proud of each and every one of them!
Up next we return to the beautiful Road America track in Wisconsin for round 3 of the Route 66 Sprint Series!
