Andrew Avalos Makes National KA Jr Debut at King of the Castle

This past weekend, Amaxx Racing traveled to New Castle Motorsports Park to compete in the Stars Championship Series “King of the Castle” event. It was a milestone moment for one of our drivers, Andrew Avalos, as he took part in his first-ever national-level KA Junior race.

Andrew showed strong pace right from the start, running consistently in the top 15 during practice sessions. Unfortunately, qualifying didn’t go as planned—he only managed to get one lap in due to unforeseen issues, which put him at a disadvantage heading into the heats.

Despite the setback, Andrew fought hard to work his way back through the field. His determination and speed were evident all weekend long, and he consistently posted promising lap times in a highly competitive field. In the final, an unfortunate wreck cut his race short, but the progress and potential he displayed throughout the weekend were clear to see.

We’re incredibly proud of Andrew’s performance and attitude. For a first national event, he handled the pressure like a seasoned pro and gained invaluable experience. This is just the beginning—we’re confident he has a bright future ahead in karting.

Stay tuned as Andrew continues to grow and compete at the highest levels!
